I will be teaching lessons from March – May 2012. 

Then again from August – October 2012.

My name is Rebecca Pletcher. I live in Cocoa Beach with my husband and my three children. We love living on the water and near the beach enjoying Florida’s best feature, the water. 

Since we live around so much water, all three of my children went through the ISR program here in Brevard County. My oldest son, Dylan, first took lessons at 9 months old. My interest in becoming a teacher started after seeing his amazing results. My son, Ryan, saved himself more than once using his Self-Rescue skills.

I was accepted to the ISR Instructor training program and became a certified instructor in 2006.  Since then, I have taught for five seasons and trained over 300 infants and young children the ISR Self-Rescue technique.

Through the ISR Instructor Certification process I studied Behavioral Science, Psychology, Child Development, Anatomy and Physiology in addition to learning how to teach the ISR Self-Rescue technique to infants and young children.  I am also American Heart Certified in CPR and First Aid.

I have a BS degree in Marketing/Communication from Florida State University. I worked for 10 years in shopping center marketing and television marketing and public relations. I now use this experience to spread the word about ISR. It continues to be an honor to join ISR's mission “To Prevent Drowning and Enrich the Lives of Children by Teaching Them to Swim".

I teach from a heated pool in Cocoa Beach onYawl Drive, off4th Street South.  I teach in Satellite Beach on Aruba Court, off South Patrick Drive.
