Joshua was taken from this earth too early in his young life. On June 4th, 2008 Joshua passed away, due to complications from a drowning accident which occurred three days earlier. His short presence here will not be forgotten and the wonderful impact he had in life will continue through his foundation. This journey is just beginning and will be never ending, through continued education, instruction and the development of new innovative water safety equipment.

 Because of B.R.A.Y.D.E.N

The scenario has been heard or read too often: we lose sight or look away from our children for mere seconds, and it's already too late. If your child found himself in a situation with water...would he know how to save himself? We believe there are ways to help and answer that question with a "yes". The story can end differently.
Mackenzie Roecker nearly drowned at her local YMCA.  This is her story. http://www.mackenzieroecker.org
This is me before my near-drowning experience at the Fairborn Ohio YMCA.  I loved swimming, music, and dancing. I was always laughing, smiling and singing.

 The Yoni Gottesman Foundation
http://www.yonigottesman.com/
In the summer of 2005, Yoni Gottesman's parents took him to a summer camp. It was supposed to be a fun and exciting experience. It was promised to be a safe experience. Instead, on his first day at camp, little Yoni drowned.
The Trevor “Birdie” Davis Water Safety Foundation
www.cbre.com/birdie
was founded June 2006, as a result of his accidental drowning, when he was 26 months old. The mission of the foundation is to save innocent lives through education and awareness of water hazards for both children and adults. We are devastated over the loss of our son and we know that we need to make it our mission to help prevent other children and parents from having to experience this type of tragedy. The foundation also may support other worthy organizations that educate, support, and save the lives of children.
The Elliot Barbier "Little Prince" Foundation
www.littleprincefoundation.org
The Elliot Barbier Little Prince Foundation was started in memory of Elliot Barbier. Our son died tragically on June 14th, 2008 in an accidental drowning. We were blessed that God chose us to have Elliot, even though it was for a short period of time he changed us and everyone around our family. This foundation will strive to make a difference in the world everyday in Elliot's memory.
