My name is Katie Kennedy-Boyer. I live in South Merritt Island with my husband and 3 children. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida until I moved to Brevard in 1991. I have always lived on the water and always had a pool in my backyard. I understand and know the hazards of being surrounded by water. I honestly believe that every child needs to know the skills needed to survive in the water.
All three of my children have been a part of the ISR program. Starting from 10 years ago I was amazed how my first son became an awesome swimmer at such a young age. When my next child was born I immediately signed her up for swimming lessons at 6 months of age. I told my family if she was to fall off our dock or boat she was GOING to FLOAT. After I had my third child of course he was in at 6 months of age, and now almost 3 is also a confident swimmer. A year ago I knew I had the time, patience and skills needed to become an ISR Instructor. I have worked with children for many years, and always knew that my passion in life was to help make a difference in a child’s life. I am honored and excited to teach babies, toddlers and children life saving water skills.
I teach from a screened solar heated pool in Merritt Island, I also would be willing to travel.
